Nick Stanovick is a poet, performer, and educator from Northeastern Pennsylvania.

He received his BA in English with a Concentration in Creative Writing from Temple University. While in Philadelphia, Nick was a Philly Pigeon Grand Slam Finalist and worked with Philadelphia Youth Poetry Movement, a youth literacy and advocacy program that has won multiple titles at Brave New Voices. An alumnus of Babel Poetry Collective and a member of the International Slam Championship winning team at the College Unions Poetry Slam Invitation (CUPSI), Nick has performed poetry and conducted workshops all over Philadelphia and at colleges, universities, and poetry venues across the Northeast. His performances have been featured on platforms such as Button Poetry and Slamfind.  

 

Nick has also completed graduate degrees from Auburn University, where he holds a Master of Arts (MA) in Composition and Rhetoric, and CUNY Queens College where he completed a Master of Fine Arts (MFA) in Poetry. His poetry examines the architectures and intersections of grief, home, our natural world, and love. His work has appeared in journals and magazines such as Nashville Review, Spillway, Vinyl, and Crab Creek Review among others.
